Core Music (CIC) is a social enterprise and partner of Hexham’s Cultural Network that creates, nurtures and supports music making opportunities for the people of Hexham, the Tyne Valley and West Northumberland.

The Core Music Hub in Hexham is a safe and supportive space for musicians of any age and ability to connect, create, develop, study and play.

Easter Half term 2024 🐣🌻

SAVE THE DATE! With the clocks going forward this weekend, we are getting close to sunnier days… and the return of The Bandstand Sessions! The Bandstand Sessions 2024 will run every Sunday from 26 May – 28 July on the Sele Park Bandstand. Sessions run from 12 – 2pm and some exciting ‘take-over' events are planned which will run extended hours. For more information watch this space! Artist announcements coming soon…

ARE YOU A RISING MUSICAL STAR? Well, good news! The Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival Big Gig is back again for 2024!! Following a great start to the showcase in 2022 and 2023, this Is a chance for under 18 acts (solo, duo, trio or band) to perform in the Big Gig showcase on the festival big stage on Saturday 15 June. Acts from the previous two years have had bookings from the showcase, so it really is amazing exposure as well as a fab experience on the day. @tynedalebeerfestival is a friendly, positive festival. All young people will be treated with care and respect. The acts invited to the showcase at the festival will also get pre event coaching with us at Core Music from the hugely experienced and talented elite performance coach, Katy Trigger (Maximo Park). If you know any acts that would love to take part, get them to send in a video clip (smart phone is fine) or link to a YourTube channel or Facebook page via DM to the Festival Facebook page or email to tynedalebeerfestival@gmail.com 🎼 Entries close 6 April 🎼
