Tuition update
Update to tuition services ahead of April 15th 2024
Core Music CIC (community interest company) is updating the way we work with our musician partners to better deliver our aims as a CIC and make music accessible to more people in our community.
Previously, music tutors paid room hire per lesson delivered and this has left Core Music CIC vulnerable to an inconsistent cash flow. Core Music CIC and our musician partners have devised a range of payment options to suit individual business needs and ensure that Core Music CIC can continue to deliver bespoke music opportunities into the future.
As a result, tutor rates and payment terms may change but tutors will work with you to find the right model. If you have any concerns or questions, please email me on info@coremusic.co.uk
More information on standard rates of pay can be found here https://musiciansunion.org.uk/education-and-teaching/teaching-pay-and-employment/music-teaching-rates-of-pay
Best wishes for your future music making!

My passion for drumming started when I was eleven, way back in 2007 when I listened to bands such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance…any band that had a great drummer. Fast-forward eight years and I attended university at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where I studied drum performance and graduated with a first-class honours degree.
I currently gig, write and record drums in and around the Newcastle/Northumbria area with the same passion I had for the kit as when I was eleven.
