Included:

• Clean and oil fingerboard

• Check and tighten all hardware, e.g. Tuners, Bridges/tailpieces, strap buttons etc.

• Bridge saddle adjustment to set string action height and intonation

• Check and set nut slot heights

• Balance pickup heights

Deluxe Electric Guitar Setup: from £50 plus strings

If your guitar is suffering from frets that are are uneven, damaged or worn this makes a standard setup impossible to complete. We therefore include a Deluxe setup which includes the more advanced work necessary to fix these fret problems.

Included:

• Fret re-levelling, including securing any loose frets and removing any sharp edges

• Re-crowning all frets followed by fret polishing

• Standard Setup as described above

Both setups include a general clean and polish of the instrument, however heavily soiled instruments will cost more. Also note that for both grades of setup Floyd Rose type tremolo bridges will incur a surcharge of £10.

Included:

Deluxe Acoustic  Guitar Setup: from £55 plus strings

Complete re-fret: Electric and Acoustic Instruments

Plain rosewood/Ebony fingerboard: from £130

The above prices include fretwire of your choice from a wide range of nickel silver and EvoGold fretwire.

We are not equipped to do re-frets in Stainless Steel, and are unable to re-fret Gibson style bound fingerboards with raised edge binding. We don't provide a partial re-fret service.

Other Fretted Instruments

Although the above list of services and prices refer to guitars, they can be taken as a very rough guide to most other fretted instruments. An exception to this are Ukuleles, where prices will generally 25% to 40% less due to the size and simplicity of the instruments.

Restringing - All Instruments

We can restring any stringed instrument. We stock a wide variety of strings and will fit and tune them on request. We can order in strings not stocked, and will also fit strings you supply. Advice on choice of strings is always available! For most instruments there is a charge of £6. For guitars with Floyd-Rose bridges there is a fitting charge of £10.

Nut and Saddle Replacement

We can supply and fit nuts and saddles for any type of instrument and will custom make nuts and saddles where necessary. Note that even ready-made nuts will require at least some handwork to work properly.

Prices start at £15 for a ready-made Fender style plastic nut, ask for a quotation for anything else.

Electric Guitar Pickup installation: from £25

We can install your choice of pickups to customise your instrument or replace faulty units. We can supply a wide variety of pickups and will happily fit pickups you supply. We can also install new pickguards for Fender style instruments: ask for details.

Acoustic Pickup Installation: from £45

Acoustic pickup installations can be a minefield and generally involve  some serious woodwork to the instrument so to avoid disappointment always ask for advice and a quotation before parting with any cash.
